1. Overview
FootballMatter ("we", "us", or "our") operates this website as an informational and entertainment platform focused on football analytics, live scores, and AI-powered insights. By accessing or using FootballMatter, you agree to the terms described on this page. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect limited data necessary to operate the platform, including:
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and session duration, collected through standard web analytics.
- Device & browser information — type of browser, operating system, and screen resolution for optimising display.
- Voluntarily submitted data — any information you choose to submit, such as feedback forms or AI chat queries.
We do
not collect payment information, government identification, or sensitive personal data. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Cookies & Tracking
FootballMatter uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Maintain session state and user preferences.
- Measure aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform.
- Cache sports data to improve page load performance.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect the functionality of certain features. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
4. Third-Party Services
FootballMatter integrates with the following categories of third-party services:
- Sports data providers — we use third-party sports data APIs (such as API-Football and similar providers) to supply live scores, fixtures, statistics, and player data. These providers have their own privacy policies.
- AI model providers — the AI Chat feature is powered by external large language model APIs (such as Groq and similar providers). Queries you enter are transmitted to these services for processing.
- Hosting & infrastructure — cloud providers (such as Google Cloud) are used to run the application. They may process request logs in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Analytics — we may use aggregate, anonymised analytics tools to understand platform usage. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through our platform.
5. AI Chat — Data Usage & Safety
The AI Chat feature is an important part of FootballMatter. Please read the following carefully:
- Do not submit sensitive personal information. Do not enter confidential, private, financial, medical, legal, or other sensitive personal data into the AI Chat. Treat it as a public football search tool, not a private messaging service.
- Query processing. Messages you send in AI Chat are transmitted to external language model API providers for processing. These providers are bound by their own data usage and privacy terms.
- Query logging. AI chat queries may be temporarily logged for debugging, safety review, abuse prevention, and service improvement. Logs are retained only as long as operationally necessary and are not linked to personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it.
- No AI memory. The AI Chat does not retain memory between sessions. Each conversation starts fresh.
6. AI & Data Accuracy Disclaimer
The AI Chat feature generates responses using large language models. These responses:
- May contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or hallucinated statistics.
- Are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
- Should not be relied upon for betting, wagering, gambling, or any financial decision.
- Do not constitute professional sports analysis, journalism, or expert advice.
Similarly, scores, statistics, and results displayed on FootballMatter are sourced from third-party providers and may occasionally differ from official records. Always refer to the official competition governing body for authoritative data.
7. Data Retention
We retain usage logs, analytics data, and submitted queries only as long as reasonably necessary for platform operation, security monitoring, analytics, and service improvement — unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.
8. No Betting or Gambling Endorsement
FootballMatter does not promote, facilitate, or endorse betting, gambling, or wagering of any kind. No content on this platform — including AI predictions, excitement scores, form guides, or match previews — should be interpreted as a recommendation to place any bet or wager. If you are experiencing problems with gambling, please seek help from a qualified support organisation in your region.
9. Children's Privacy
FootballMatter is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or the minimum digital consent age required in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at
privacy@footballmatter.com and we will take steps to remove it promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access — the right to request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Correction — the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — the right to request deletion of your personal data where we have no legitimate reason to continue processing it.
- Restriction — the right to ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection — the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at
privacy@footballmatter.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable law.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the platform and any data we process, including:
- HTTPS encryption — all data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit.
- No payment data storage — we do not store credit card, banking, or financial account information.
- Access controls — access to internal systems and data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
12. Intellectual Property
All original content on FootballMatter, including UI design, written copy, and software code, is the intellectual property of FootballMatter and its contributors. Third-party data, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this platform without prior written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
FootballMatter and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — this platform. The platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy & Disclaimer page from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
